Ukraine – Portugal
The Ukrainian national team defeated Portugal in Kyiv on October 14 in Euro 2020 qualifying. The Ukrainians secured early qualification for the group stage of the European Championship.
The first goal in the match was scored by Yaremchuk. In the 27th minute, the "blue-and-yellows" doubled their lead. Mykolenko delivered a perfect cross from the left flank into the center of the penalty area to Yarmolenko, who scored – 2:0.
In the 72nd minute, the match referee Anthony Taylor decided to intervene in the course of the match. He awarded a penalty against Ukraine and sent off Taras Stepanenko. After Bruma's shot, the ball hit Taras's thigh and only then accidentally struck his arm. By all the canons of football, this is not a penalty. Taylor did not change his decision, and Ronaldo converted the penalty.
