Usyk – Briedis
Oleksandr Usyk's fight against Latvian Mairis Briedis as part of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) tournament will be the 14th in our boxer's career. Usyk has won all previous bouts, and in 11 of them our boxer knocked his opponents out.
The boxers will meet in the semi-final of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) in January 2018. The bout will probably take place in Berlin or Riga.
According to bookmakers, the Ukrainian is the undisputed favourite. The odds on Usyk's victory are 1.17, while the odds on Briedis winning are 4.5.
The WBSS rules do not provide for a draw. The winner of the tournament will receive the Muhammad Ali Trophy as well as all the championship belts.
