Despite being the most decorated club in the UEFA Champions League, Real conceded the fastest goal in the history of this tournament. It happened after 10.12 seconds in the 2006–2007 Champions League round of 16 match against Bayern Munich. Real kicked off from the center of the field, and Fernando Gago passed to Roberto Carlos. The Brazilian failed to control the pass, the ball went to Bayern's Hasan Salihamidzic, who passed to Roy Makaay, who sent the ball into the back of Real's net.
